This is a 2-in-1 tablet/laptop. The screen holds all the hardware, and the keyboard is detachable.
This was a difficult laptop to figure out. I tried a bunch of different Linux systems, and none of them satisfied me. One on the ones I got to boot up all the way was Sparky Linux. But aside from the trouble of getting it to boot up all the way, once you get a Linux distribution to boot up, you still have to get all the drivers working to properly interface with the hardware, and that was an absolute nightmare. I put the tablet/laptop aside for a while, then came back to it to find that the "Linux community" had gotten a lot more work done on getting similar laptops working.
Enter: Acerium. Acerium is a Linux distribution built off of Ubuntu 17 that was made for the Acer [WTVR]. Apparently "Acer" hardware is sort of built out of pieces that aren't so common, so that getting Linux drivers working properly with an Acer can be difficult. Fortunately, Acer uses similar parts across similar laptops of theirs, so this same system worked on this Acer as well (with a little bit of work...). Acer Aspire SW5-012/Fendi2 (Z3537F) (based on Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety Yak)
First, install Acerium on a USB. Follow their directions: http://acerium.ru/english/
